Limiters

The compact and efficient surge protection device (SPD), which has a coaxial segment design and is equipped with standardized type N connectors, is designed to ensure the safety of radio-electronic nodes that receive GPS satellite navigation signals.

By including a high-pass filter, our limiter introduces minimal attenuation into the incoming GPS signal, and is able to effectively suppress low-frequency interference generated by lightning. It consists of a transient suppression device (TSD) and a gas discharge tube (GDT), protects the DC power supply circuits by temporarily shorting the lines until the specified voltage is reached.

Installed in the gap between the antenna and the GPS receiver, the lightning protection device must be connected to a protective ground loop to remove a voltage surge. The limiter can be successfully used in 50-ohm systems with a frequency range from 1500 MHz to 1650 MHz, and an incoming signal power of up to 50 watts.
