Detectors

Microwave detectors are designed to detect continuous or modulated microwave signals in a wide frequency range. Due to the use of a special design and modern components, the detectors have small overall dimensions, a wide range of operating frequencies, a small unevenness of the frequency response and SWR input, a wide dynamic range. Detectors are used in microwave measuring equipment, in automatic power control systems. The response time of the detector depends on the resistance of the load (RL) connected to the detector. With a pulse-modulated input signal, the rise and fall times of the detector output pulses are shown in the table.

During the rise time, the time of voltage change at the detector output is taken from 10% to 90% when the power level is turned on -10 dBm (0.1 MW). The detector’s own capacity is 30 pF. The typical value of voltage sensitivity (γ) in low-signal mode is 500 mV/MW. The typical load is 30 kOhm.
